No real problem in here, some forums do get anal about reviving old threads though and for no good reason other than internal culture.

Your DS should be ok with these basic 'non-TTS' voices with appropriate .unl code. It's more the Text To Speech voice files which can be strictly series/type-specific because there's a few different versions of TTS .vpm files. I don't have any Drive or DS series to hand at present or i'd gladly test them for you so just try them out - likely worst that will happen is showing "Incompatible voice file" message on start up and the absolute worst would be a soft-bricking which we can easily fix for you anyway. Please test and report back.
