Navicom Handbook-Guide "Borodino 1812"





September 8 (August 26 st. Style) was the famous battle of Borodino, which has become the main event of the War of 1812. This guide is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the anniversary.

Memorial "Borodino field" created by the efforts of several generations of Russians. Most of the monuments were installed on means descendants of heroes Borodin, and their authors were as professional architects, engineers and military officers of the Russian army of the early twentieth century. Diverse in its forms, from boulders to classical columns and temples, monuments installed in places where there was a memorable event.

Thus was the sacred land of the Borodino field captured in stone and bronze battle history itself.

Guide "Borodino 1812" includes descriptions of 156 objects of the memorial , for ease grouped into eight thematic sections. Description of the accommodation includes a photo and a story about a memorable event, department or person to whom the monument is dedicated.
