Sorry, I didn't understand. I mean, on Nuvi 1xxx series the folder used for custom maps is the MAP folder under root directory, instead GARMIN folder as other Garmin units. If you put a GMAPSUPP.IMG (plus .UNL if necessary) under GARMIN folder on a memory card and use it on a 1490T, the unit won't recognize the custom map. You have to use a MAP folder instead GARMIN folder on your memory card.

I don't have the 1490T right now, so I ask if I have to put the POI folder (with custom POI's, Travelguide, etc.) under MAP folder or the POI must be under GARMIN folder. I'm a bit confused.

Put it in same folder with map
If map is in "Garmin" folder then in "Garmin"
If map is in "Map" folder then in "Map"
If map is in "System" folder then in "System" (on some new nuvi 1xxx devices, not SD, there is hidden "System" folder for maps)
To be sure device will find and use it, best is to put it on device, instead SD card
In Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View, turn on option "Show hidden files and folders" and You will see "System" folder on device and if it's there, put POI files in it

It's amazing how quick we get answers on this forum. I have to say that it's one of the best ones I've ever seen.

    Thank you!
    Sorry for my bad English...

Thank you so much for your instruction, as I can't get it working on my micro SD card where I put the Europe Map. So I've to put it in the System folder.
