I'm not sure what you mean by 'maintain the maps'?
I use OziExplorerCE version 2.40 and for it all that needs to be done is the map/s copied to the device in the folder 'Maps' inside Ozi's main folder, then to load one, on the Menu bar at the bottom tap File > Open Map File, navigate to the map I want, select it, then tap OK to load it.
