Do not erase anything!
Clear data and cache. Uninstall the app. Delete Navigon folder from your SD card.
Make fresh installation. Allow the app to download all the necessary files (around 650 MB). Allow the app to download Vatican map. Quit the app. Then, find within this forum Fresh Maps Q4 2014. Copy paste the one you need in map folder and delete Vatican map, BEFORE you start the navigation. Then NEVER use MyMaps option to update the maps! Don't mess with nfs files at all!
Follow strictly what I have wrote and you'll be happy!

What is the difference between the maps downloaded from within the Navigon app and these above?

i notice these maps are a few megs larger, so newer then i assume?
