I'm on Win7 and I don't have ActiveSync (at least I don't see anything indicating that's it running) When I originally plugged in the C310 (I haven't tried it on C320 yet), I get prompted regarding USB driver (which I'm desperately looking for.) Currently when I plug it in I get no prompt nor any changes under "My Computer" I think Win7 is not re-asking me and assumed I don't have driver.
Regarding Mio Transfer, I need the original Mio Transfer proggy that was on CD/DVD. The URL only contained a patch to the original. I saw youtube vid of someone easily doing Mio Pocket on it via external SD card. It's my last resort because I don't want any registry/system files changes.
I do not have access to any SD card at the moment to try to see if it's accessible. Probably try to find one next week to try, if I couldn't get access to internal memory of C310. Another possible try is to find one of my old WinXP machine and see if it works. ActiveSync can be a hassle to work with. Thanks for your tips and help, I read a lot of your posts on other sites. Lots of good stuffs but most of links are gone.
I just bought a C320 and still trying to test MioMap out. I found that it has problem correctly snap to road when trying to acquired sats while car is moving. I had similar symptom on one of the iGO version on an android phone a while back. Weird, probably software bug. The C310 is not mine but it needs to be updated with latest maps, so I'm hoping to get latest/best iGO proggy on it. Since it's not mine, I would preferred to leave the original MioMap proggy alone and have iGO installed and used instead (until there is a need to revert back to MioMap)
Update: I find usb driver and mio transfer installation for C250 at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Before using the driver, I get "Other devices" with a problem under Device Manager. Then I installed usb driver and now I get an new entry of Mobile devices->Mio DigiWalker USB Sync (with no problem) But I don't see a way of accessing it; even after installing Mio Transfer (with the Hacked exe) There is no option other than MP3, Mio Online, and About. No way to access the internal disk of the C310.
I'll continue to look for driver for C3x0 and see if it makes any difference.
