I have connected my DNX5240BT to the laptop using micro usb and having the drivers installed. The problem is that the DNX5240 is recognized as new connected usb device (GARMIN GPS) but I cannot see the device as a storrage driver. Do you know how to solve this case? Thanks

I have exactly the same problem today with DNX5240BT. Tried on Windows 10 and Windows 7. Same behavior on both machines. Garmin drivers installed. Maybe it works only on XP but unfortunately I didn't have it on any computer so I couldn't try it.

The described behavior where the device is seen in Device Manager but not in Windows Explorer means it's not connected in Mass Storage Mode of course. Rather it's connected in Garmin Mode, also referred to as preboot mode or boot block for various devices. If it stays permanently connected in that mode until manually removed then it may well be an older-style Garmin Mode device which only has flashable 'regions' rather than a visible file system but i'm mot familiar with that specific unit.
