Hi zervdim .
Saw your post on other forum.
Sorry for your devices.
I do not want to debate, but I do not agree with "For those who don;t have MIO and want to buy a MIO gps I strongly recommend to buy another device (except if they will using only mio software and they don't unlock the device)."
Concerning mio moov 500, do you try pin 9 grounding ?
What image do you see on start, something like this :
Also, if I can help you on unlocking Mio / Others device, i'd like it ...
Regards.

TTS Dutch voice works sort of... When it says a street name, it says vertical stripe percentage hashtag and stuff like that.
It is really annoying, someone knows a quick fix for this or is more information required?
First of all, thank you very much for this "readable" post specific about Loquendo TTS. I've searched everywhere and I couldn't find a solution or even an explanation to this problem.
Loquendo TTS is working (downloaded from your posts) and iGo Primo is working. The problem occurs when I chose one language for the Android System and another language for iGo Voice.
For example, I am trying to keep my phone using English as default language and having iGo Primo to play TTS in Brazilian Portuguese. It won't work at all. The voice selected within iGo will be played with whatever language is set for Android system. Here's what I do:
1) Select Android System language as English
2) Select a Brazilian Portuguese for Loquendo TTS engine
3) Open iGO primo and select a Brazilian Portuguese Voice
For some reason, iGo primo will ALWAYS pick Android System language (English) and ignore whatever I set for Loquendo Engine language or even the language I set inside iGo itself.
I know that both iGo Voices and Loquendo are flowing around for quite a few years and there are some different versions. I even tried editing the iGo Voice file I have and modifying the info.ini file inside of it, but no luck. Inside this info.ini file, here's what I tried:
* Maybe these parameters (ie. tts_voicename_loq7, tts_langname_loq7) are obsolete and no longer used ????tts_engine="loquendo" <--- if I set this, iGo will show a VoiceLoad Failure message and restart
tts_engine="android" <--- if I set this, iGo loads fine, but this Brazilian Portuguese voice will be used using English engine instead (with that funny and unrecognizable accent)
tts_langname="PortugueseBr"
tts_langname_loq7="PortugueseBr"
tts_voicename="Gabriela"
tts_voicename_loq7="Gabriela"
Another thing, I set this to global.ttsconf inside LoquendoTTS folder:
This will create a trace.txt file with debug information. It says what when iGo Primo loads up, Loquendo loads PortugueseBr voice when loading, but when TTS is to be used, this language is switched to EnglishUs<diagnostics>
<log level="true" filename="/mnt/sdcard2/LoquendoTTS/log.txt" encoding="utf8"/>
<trace level="true" filename="/mnt/sdcard2/LoquendoTTS/trace.txt" encoding="utf8"/>
</diagnostics>
To cut it short, I think this is what happens:
Android System Language: English <<-- This is used by iGo to set Loquendo's language engine
Loquendo TTS Language: PortugueseBr Gabriela <<-- This is ignored by iGo apk
iGo Voice Language: TTS Gabriela PortugueseBr <<-- This is used for pronunciation only
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
I confirm 100% what MrCabna says. only diferrence is that instead of Brazilian Portuguese I want to use my Greek voices
1) Select Android System language as English
2) Select a Greek for Loquendo TTS engine
3) Open iGO primo and select a Greek Voice
For some reason, iGo primo will ALWAYS pick Android System language (English) and ignore whatever I set for Loquendo Engine language or even the language I set inside iGo itself.
Any solution please ?

is Primo on device memory or Micro SD?
Only if I do not use compatible language to the Primo version, then I can not change - otherwise this by me never happen and I use device every day much hours and know about some troubles and have loose time to solve it, but allways, o.k 99% it was a mistake from me, system work good with right folders and files:-)
do you use loquendo7 - TTS loq for WinCe devices do not work.
In the voice package that you will install, there must be a folder LOQUENDO TTS (one single folder) - place this folder in your internal memory of device, I call it here /E:-- if Primo start from Micro Sd card, I call it /F:, place voice and so on in the root of Primo of sd card - (Content/voice)
If you have place the correct folder in E for your voice, you can select in Android then this voice - start primo, select there this voice and it work
I have just now test it -- I changed the system language and it allways stay/work with selected TTs voice and they was different as system language.
Think you have not save TTS LOQUENDO for your voice in E: (must be saved outside Primo root!!! in E )
language must be for your primo version and loquendo 7 is for Android, no WinCe TTs
best wishes

Where can I get Indian Languages? Could you please post
Here:Spoiler: links
@ goss:
Primo is on Micro SD.
I use loquendo7 - TTS for android which is ALSO on Micro SD. I have installed English & Greek voices and when I go to system settings - Language & keyboard - Text to speech output - Listen to an example I hear BOTH English & Greek sounds 100% ok.
The problem is that when I go to Primo, I hear English voice ONLY when my system language is English & I hear Greek voice when my system Language is Greek.
I want to have English as my system language and GREEK language voice for Primo. Is this possible?
PS. I installed Nuance TTS and I have EXACTLY the same problem.
