I had the same problem with my Nexus 5
There are a perfect little app on google play called Ampere.With it you can compare different chargers and USB cables how much they charge and also in what mode AC (best) or USB its charging.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
I tested a couple of chargers both for AC and 12V with different cables and i found very big differences especially between different cables.
In my case i changed to an other cable and i have no longer any problems at all, always 100% charged.
