    Hi Janch

No works in portrait and landscape mode.

If you have the ux : grid_menu_layout.zip. you have to deactivate it .

Of course not. Kind of worthless if it does.

    hot

    @osiris4isis

    This is what I meant...

For example I drive from point A to point B and normally that takes 1 hour and 09 minutes but since in Germany "TMC" (inappropriate name but for the sake of this argument we will use it) work they will change my ETA. Here is how. When I start my navi offline or before it loads TMC it will show 1 hours 09 minutes and after TMC update it will CHANGE ETA and show 1 hour 45 minutes.

Yes you can turn off TMC but you need to make 3 or 4 clicks to do it and to do that during driving it is quite dangerous. On the other hand I would love to have TMC too since sometimes it is accurate and useful.

Spoiler: Many clicks to turn it off
    TMC OFF

What I would like to have is ability to shut off TMC with one click at least or not at all. I mean better option would be extra ETA shown (original eta without TMC or traffic change)

Let me give you some pics to illustrate what I mean...

First picture shows route (without TMC) - 1:09
    Spoiler: NO TMC - 1 09
    No TMC

    Next Picture - with TMC - 1:45

    TMC EVENTS - EXTRA TIME
    Spoiler: CLICK TO SEE
    TMC EVENTS

    Spoiler: WITH TMC - 1 45
    WITH TMC

So, if I am driving something and people called me and ask "Hey how far are you"? what should I say 1:09 or 1:45. Sometimes TMC is obsolete and I should calculate in second what ETA is correct or make 4 5 clicks to get real ETA by turning TMC off. First it is dangerous, second I do not want that. I would like to have info cause sometimes it helps.
What I would like to have is one more ETA and that is WITHOUT TMC... here is PS illustration..

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE EXTRA TIME LIKE SHOWN HERE (TIME WITHOUT TMC, ORIGINAL TIME 1:09)
    Spoiler: ETA WITHOUT TMC
    ETA EXTRA

I drive often ad sometimes ETA adds 2 or 3 hours, it is really confusing sometimes...I believe this can be useful to many. Just UX or some trick to DISPLAY one more ETA only original one (without TMC)

The purpose of TMC* is to handle traffic related functions. This includes giving info about delay and update distance/arrival time accordingly. If you don't want it, why turn it on? (so there is a need to turn it off later?) You give new destination and before driving decide to have TMC or not. TMC is complex (has lots of hooks into many subsystems) and it's not wise to mess with it so you get half-and-half functionality. I might add ability to disable via long pressing the TMC button in cockpit but that's about it. I don't like to cluttered the cockpit with unnecessary buttons.

    * Since there is no way to have traffic other than online traffic on android, TMC is referenced as online-traffic

That is why I would like to have it. It is very useful, just sometimes inaccurate. Can you do that or somehow add option to show ETA without TMC like on the last picture. I hate cluttered screens too, that is why extra ETA is way better.

    @ Texas

Here's a simple ux , it puts a TMC on/off button on the main navigation screen.

Its a bit of a quick job but might meet some of your needs. Bare in mind that it will also turn off the use of "Historical Traffic".

Man this is exactly what I was asking for. It turn TMC on/off and shows ETA with or without TMC. This is great. Better would to have ETA displayed all the time but this is awesome. From this day on this will be my "must have" ux. Thank you.
