Ok, I had to take a long trip which alert triggered and saw the black bar alert at top. Here is the change to make it a red bar
    Spoiler: .

Update: I've removed fix because it doesn't work; I will update it later when I get it tested and working.
Update2: Ok, correct hack attached; per tested by Texas. Note that this will change the notification (top bar) from default color to red. This mean ALL notifications (such as GPS lost, alerts, etc...) are affected. Screenshot from Texas in post #75 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Greetings,

I am very new to this and need some advice.

I have a Joying 8" Android running Lolipop 5.1.1 car system that came loaded with Basarsoft Igo GPS.

I like the basic features but I miss the TTS for named streets and alerts that were on my previous unit.

I have downloaded one of the IGO Next Gen from this site successfully and have been enjoying the menu structure etc but I really want to add TTS

Can someone please guide me through it to either add to my existing program or to add to the one I downloaded here.

I have read much contained here but I am confused by the constant additions and mods etc.

I have a good understanding of electronics as I founded Plinius Audio but programming and such is way beyond me.

So if someone is willing to hold my hand I am a willing pupil.

    Pete
