sorry for the question but this skin has something bugging me for a long time
after all what is the correct nextgen package to use with this skin? so far i've only got limited sucess with iGO Avicsync, and even then i get random crashes while navigating... with Pal, Israel, etc can't even make it past the initial configuration menu without crashing or getting stuck
and yes i always install Lua Interpreter as well and set it according to instructions, can't seem to make a difference
Thanks in advance
yes, it is a tragedy that a skin offer has been adding a ballast that has nothing to do with the skin for ages now, very annoying.
only the folder ux\ is needed for a Nextgen variant, everything else just "throw away"
There are also other sub-folders in the ux\ folder; Extra\ and 'Replace only for iGO Avicsync\'. These actually belong visibly in the package, because they are only needed in certain situations and have no place in the ux \.
Lua interpreter; Very few Users understand this nonsense and don't know what to do with it, unless they come from the developer scene themselves.
!* sorry, but I also had to vent my frustration with the offer package ...![]()

@rondoan thanks for you post, glad to know i'm not the only one having issues with this skin
its a shame because i like this skin, but after all i guess i'll stick to good old Pal with Pongo skin and call it a day...
My personal opinion on this Skin : The TOP of creativity ... but not always accessible ... you need to have some experience .... I discover it every day .
This is a Skin that has been updated throughout the months and years .... so you have to take the time to follow.
To answer the package_names
all is in the file tools.lua \files \com.caharkness.lua \data\Android
Spoiler: Code
If you have another name package you need to change it to take advantage of all the possibilities of this skin with the LuaInterpreter V 1.3.0 APK. You need a good smartphone or it will crash.
Without changing the package name you can also enjoy the basic functions which remain at an excellent level.
If you have noticed that the Skin : VW_Skin_Set Public .... I can't imagine Wandel's Personal Skin ...(he probably has to do the dishes, wash the clothes, start the car ....)
Thank you Mr Wandel
Regards

@LouBouha thanks, i guess i've overlooked some stuffgotta get another chance to this skin eventually
sure, i'm not denying that its a great igo skin, Mr. Wandel did a fine job, sadly it became a source of frustration for me
regarding my previous posts again
well i've been reading some things out there and and found a solution (for now, at least) for my issues with this skin... by deleting connected_error_handling.zip and connected_settings.zip in the ux folder
maybe its not the ideal way to run this skin but hey it works for merunning right now over iGO PAL fine and smooth, before it just crashed every time in my devices, quite an improvement i guess

Thanks for your feedback and congratulations for your perseverance.
I have a doubt on the good functioning of this Skin with the elimination of these two UX.
This Skin is complex and depends mainly on several factors:
1/ Type of Android (especially with the Android 8 and above restrictions ... I'm not talking about the Android 11 disaster) .
2/ The performance of the smartphone.
3/ iGO configuration: Internal or external memory....
4/ Knowledges and experience.
Can you specify your configuration in detail and which function you manage to run with Lua Interpreter.
I am learning every day from this skin .... but I can't get it all to work.
Best Regards

@LouBouha, to be honest i have no idea eitherjust read somewhere on internet about issues with those ux modules and thought hey why not, lets delete them and see what happens... and surprisingly it worked
if you wanna know, i run a Redmi smartphone with android 11 custom rom (yeah i know, prone to issues but again never had any problems with any other app or iGO skin, so...) internal memory install
no i'm not running Lua Interpreter right now, it was just a quick test to see if it works
