This is my mod for driver alerts (make sure you have .fda in .../content/map folder)

Settings->Warnings->Road Signs allows turning on TTS via "Announce TTS" and testing it under "Road Signs TTS Test"
If you don't hear test, it mean your "TTS Pro" settings is wrong in the TTS voice config you're using.
