You can try :
"TwoCompass New" = "Doua busole - Nou"
"TwoCompass Old" = "Doua busole - Vechi"
LE
Unfortunately, it does not work.
The code is from pongo skin 32 bit : 2026.06\iGO_Israel\ux\the_skin_by_pongo\ui_nextgen\common\ui\settings.ui

here it is language and skin pongo zips. maybe someone can figure out . that Code is in setting.ui
there is an error in your lang file that can compromise the interpretation of translations until the end of the file
the left or right part of a line can only contain a single text string in quotation marks
"New" : "Old"="Nou" : "Vechi"
the next is strictly useless because no chain corresponds to it
New : Old="Nou : Vechi"
As for the translation that does not appear, it could actually be a misuse in the script, try to use this form
<TEXT class="listitem bottom" align="CENTER" text=(L"\fb" + translated_format(m_i18n(TwoCompass ? "New" : "Old")))/>

In file the_skin_by_pongo.zip\ui_nextgen\common\ui\settings.ui modify :
<TEXT class="listitem bottom" align="CENTER" text=(L"\fb" + tostring(m_i18n(TwoCompass ? "New" : "Old")))/>
into
<TEXT class="listitem bottom" align="CENTER" text=("\fb" + tostring(m_i18n(TwoCompass ? "New" : "Old")))/>
And add into lang file :
\fbNew="\fbNou"
\fbOld="\fbVechi"

thank you @costas3850. it works translation
for information, the starting structure also works if tostring is replaced by translated_format, which makes it possible to dispense with complex combinations of text and to translate only Ne and Old as they appear in the script
<TEXT class="listitem bottom" align="CENTER" text=(L"\fb" + translated_format(m_i18n(TwoCompass ? "New" : "Old")))/>
that the text is forced in widestring by the prefix L in front of "\fb" has no impact on the translation mechanism.
Thus, a unique translation of New and Old is kept for other lines of scripting including these words without including bold formatting

A bug that I noticed. When you turn navigation to pedestrian the map becomes 2D. When you switch back to car the map stays 2D and there is no way to it to 3D.
