Skin iGO nextgen by pongo (DISCUSSION)

Hi4all

Dear Colleagues - to end this discussion - I suggest you get acquainted with what the skin author (Pongo) - said about the installation rules:

Installing the skin:
- iGO_Israel is the folder of the Nextgen version (iGO_Avic, iGO_Basar, iGO_Israel ...);
- remember to delete (or rename) your old ux folder with sdcard / iGO_Israel / ux;
- write a new ux folder from the archive;
- if there is a need to have even more additional functions, activate, only you need inactive plugins, removing three dashes at the end .... zip (---), I do not advise to activate everything, most of them you just do not need;
- who uses "Avicsync", "Pioneer", it is necessary to remove the user_profiles.zip plugin, otherwise you will not be able to change the cursor;
- be careful, plugs from previous versions of the skin and any foreign plugs may interfere with the current version of the skin and significantly impair navigation.
- for the speech synthesizer to work in the Voices Voice_TTS _........_ lua.zip in the dictionary.voice file there should be entries:

Speed limit is! = "Greičio ribojimas"
Temperature in% s:% s.% S. Direction% s.% S. = "Meteo duomenys:% s:% s.% S. Kryptis% s.% S."

- for the speeding warning not to be repeated, in the voices of the Voice_TTS ____ lua.zip in the info.ini file we make a correction:

In recent versions of this skin, there have been changes and additions in the speddcam's category - so using old plugin's is pointless and causes errors!
In any case, the new skin should be removed "old ux's and clean the SAVE folder!

More about medium speed cameras
For the correct warning about the zone of control of the average speed, two methods of counting are possible:
1- there should be two cameras:
- the first (the beginning of the zone) with the measured limit limit, for example 70km / h
- the second (end of the zone) with a speed limit of 5 km / hour or 0 km / hour,
both cameras are directed against the movement; in those areas where speed is controlled in both directions, there should be four cameras (two opposite);
2- there should be one camera in any direction and recording in speedcam_category
[speedcam_category: 3]
max_section_time = 120; is the warning indication time

It is possible to use both methods together, with the exception that, with the max_section_time records, the end of the zone will be farther than from the second camera, otherwise the second camera will start a warning about the control zone with a limit of 5 km / hour or 0 km / hour

Please note that there should not be any entries about cameras [speedcam_category: 0 - 31] and [warning] in sys.txt, since all the necessary entries are already present in plugin.ini, you can only change the time in the entry --- > max_section_time = xx,

warnings about the camera and the average speed can be disabled by clicking on the camera icon or on the substrate of the average speed

I can make a clarification regarding the Average Speed Camera because they have been the subject of my tests in these two months......

If the default speedcam.zip file is used, none of the 2 methods work;

In the plugin.ini there is this command, use_road_speedlimit=1, for which all the points are given the speed limit of the road we are traveling on, including the points that had as limit 5 or 0 km/h. Without these points there is no interruption of the controlled section. Method 1 does not work properly.

Also in the plugin.ini is this command, ;max_section_time=180 ;180 = ---> average speed zone validity time sec, it is clearly disabled, so there is no time that determines the end of the controlled section. Method 2 also does not work properly.

It is possible to use both methods together, with the exception that, with the max_section_time records, the end of the zone will be farther than from the second camera, otherwise the second camera will start a warning about the control zone with a limit of 5 km / hour or 0 km / hour

Even here there is an inaccuracy, even if 10 minutes is used as the duration of the controlled section, when a point is found with speed 5 or 0 km/h the controlled section end.

With the appropriate modifications the Average Speed Camera works, the problem is any other "Cameras" that we can find in the middle of these sections. Surely we will not find a Fixed Speed Camera, but a High Accident Zone or a Tunnel is possible, including all the other "Cameras" that can be on adjacent roads or within 500 meters.
The SCDB files have no directionality so they can interfere.

Until a month ago, when another camera was found in the section, the Avrage Speed Camera stopped, now sometimes it stops momentarily, indicates the type of Camera with the written warning, sound and the appearance of the icon, and resumes after having passed it. Sometimes we have only the written notice, and sometimes it is ignored, the behavior is not stable but unfortunately it cannot be improved.

P.S. no one should thank me, I just did the tests, all the credit is from Pongo who worked to improve it........

Is there a "panic button" in this skin for turning off speedcam alerts ?

I searched the thread and found the question asked in 2017 ... maybe things have changed ...

Else, please advise me of a skin with such a button on navigation screen ...

I really need this option for entering Switzerland where any speedcam alert system is strictly forbidden.

You did not follow classes

Speedcam alerts are turned off by default in Pongo's skin. Users usually complain about how to turn them on.

Or maybe I followed classes too well ... lol.

I live in France (some alerts allowed), close to Switzerland (no speedcam alerts allowed) where I go from time to time.

So let's say, the speedcams alerts are always turned on ... and a "cop" comes up ... I need to be able to quickly turn off Speedcams warnings ...
