I had the impression that sys.txt settings override settings from any other file. Am I wrong?
Sys should not have these sections, they are in plugin.ini speedcam.zip

Please do as you are advised and we will end this discussion...
It's a general question. Knowing how things work will prevent other questions in the future. It's not about this specific matter.
edit:
@batiskaf
Unfortunately no luck. I deleted all the entries you indicated, but still no visual or vocal warnings about speedcams.

@batiskaf
The version of the skin is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
I have also downloaded the mod_GR [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and includes two files speedcam.zip and speedcam_mod_GR_AF.zip. I have put both of them in the ux folder uncompressed.
The device is a Chinese head unit supposedly with Android 10. I'm not sure if the Android version is the correct one, but using different apps in order to see the Android version all agree to Android 10, API level 29.
I had exactly the same problem with the 2017-01-22 version of the skin, without using the mod files I use now, but I hadn't tried to delete the entries from the sys.txt when I used the older version of the skin.
The Pongo skin version 12/04/2021 does not provide these sections in sys. Try deleting the speedcam.spdb and SpeedcamUpdates.spud files from speedcam, leaving only Speedcam.txt, in the skin off\on the speedcams alert function and see...
It's basic, but have you checked the alert settings, where you have the options: Disabled, Visual or Audio and Visual? This adjustment is made for each type of alert. I disable some, leave only Visual for others, and leave Audio and Visual for some.
Also speedcams alert dont work in simulation mode
@batiskaf
I have 3 text files in the speedcam folder from SCDB (fixed, mobile and tunnel cameras), but only the speedcam.spdb file gets generated. There is no SpeedcamUpdates.spud file in the speedcam folder.
Do you think the 2 files from the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] I mentioned in my previous post may play a role in the problem?
@luisresende
I have already gone through the menus. Visual and Audio alerts seem activated when I check the menus. I also have selected for alerts to be given always when I approach a camera. (There is also the option for alerts to appear when over-speeding.)
When I simulate a journey though I get neither visual nor audio warnings for speed cameras.
@cristianyxtl
Is that a fact? If it is, then maybe I'm trying to solve a problem that does not exist.
