one of these might work:
1- I would try fixing sys.txt .. like
[rawdisplay]
dpi=240

or
2-I would use branding that has res 800x480.
or
3- rename nodpi res inside poi_petrol_by_pongo without extracting to hdpi

Thanks for this information. I already have dpi=240 set in my sys,txt, I tried renaming the nodpi to hdpi in poi_petrol_by_pongo ux plugin and it made no difference.
