Did as you suggested still crashing when trying to simulate a route. there is bug in the_skin_Avicsync_by_pongo.zip. if I replace this file with the_skin_NextGen_by_pongo.zip it works without any problems.

Update:
I have got this working now by applying the data.zip from post #6. The skin posted in the OP needs to be updated to include the data.zip from post #6 for it to work correctly.
