This is about speed limit overspeed, speed cameras are an important part of speed limits, often more up to date than indicated in the map material. Originally Posted by Golom

Unfortunately in Australia is is far too easy to get a heavy speeding fine and even instant loss of license. For instance, there are many 40km zones that are under most circumstances anything from 60-80km resulting in being as much as 40km over the speed limit during restricted times even though you are within the speed limit for the area. I have already been victim of this and I will be happy to live with the speed warnings and keep my license.
