@rondoan
As I said I contacted Oppo support about it because it went wrong since the last system update.
Pictures taken the end of last year wrote good coordinates and works perfect with iGO until the update came....😠
I wait for their reply.

Yes, all permissions done.
Don't know if it makes any difference, mine are in the pictures folder, works fine, iGO finds them but if I tab on a pic there is a pointer on a blue background with the photos without geotags ( of course ).
Same when I check them on the pc with Irfanview and click on show on Google Maps, also a blue background.
Make sense when there are no geotags.

OK.
After giving location permissions to the Gallery app too - Take a new pic. Instead of from the "Gallery app" folder - Copy the new image taken through "File Explorer/Manager" to "photo" folder.
Any new good result with PAL/PONGO?
back to the topic:
For a long time I created parking space/CP images and then prepared them for iGO using 'GPS Photo Tagger'. Unfortunately, iTrevel-Tech went bankrupt and the license for Google Map was also invalid - it was a great app!
Soon I'll take a look at the PhSp Lightroom Classic trial version, it should also be possible to add EXIF data later 👍🤔

ex calipoint say: my Knowledge of today is what I read yesterday 🧐😉
I would go another wey:
Install iGO_Pal on your smartphone and see if the image/photo is recognized there? iGO automatically scans DCIM/
When copying/sending back and forth, I have already experienced that EXIF data is not (correctly) transferred.

Ok, I think you were both right.
What I did.
Made a photo outside somewhere.
Copied directly from the camera app by the file manager and checked in Irfanview : gps coordinates are there and worked in iGO
Copied from a gallery app and checked : no coordinates, did not work in iGO
Copied from another gallery app ( I think stock Oppo ) , no coordinates, did not work in iGO
Copied from the Google Photo's app , coordinates are there and worked in iGO
All checked in Irfanview, only direct copy from the camera app and from Google foto,s I can view in Google maps in Irafanview.
So the problem is the gallery apps, no idea why but now I know thanx to you all.

Indeed so. Google Folder like Photo Folder, will do the same "magic". We were happy to help![]()
One more question, whitch ux handels navigate from picture or is it iGO itself ?
