Make a folder "pictures" in the root of the internal storage an put the geotagged photos in which you want to use for navigation.
This you should find to use in iGO

@rider
Pay attention - the coordinate format must be the same for the geotag photos and the selected coordinate input format selected in Units and Formats - Coordinate Display Format.
It's not same for example - N 30 30 30 E 10 10 10 and - N 30,5083 E 10.1694
And in reality it is the same destination.

Aman, rider. Google search
And on phoneIf your photo is on a PC, you can find the geotag by right-clicking the image, then clicking “Properties.” In the “Details” tab, you'll see a section called GPS, which includes Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude (if there is one tagged)
Route>Destination>Coordinates>Arrow right in bottom menu > UTM coordinates and "units and format"
At some point Pongo "messed up" the skin so much that the DCIM order and the variables in the SYS.txt no longer worked.
IMO @Titanic once created a suitable ux (zip), but that was years ago...
That's why the SYS entry must be adjusted accordingly:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
[poi]
picturepoi_folder="/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Picture"
use_mixed_poi_icon=0
use_multi_poi_icon=0
multi_poi_overlay=0
[attractions]
user_picture_path="/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Picture"
; End off SYS
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
if you then select POI search -> own images
If you select the country and a city above, you will also see the nearby images for selection
*also type [i] and you will get the image capture+date
*tap on the white field [] below and you will see the corresponding image

ex calipoint say: my Knowledge of today is what I read yesterday 🧐😉
Not completely solved i noticed now 😏.
When I use a photo made with my tablet...works perfect.
When I use a photo made with my smartphone it does not, when I tab on it it opens but no map.
Both pics geotagged.
Problem as @nens said with coordinates wrong ?
Why do you ask ? You can check yourself whether the coordinate format is different.
Different codebases, regional settings, different software setup on different systems
You can't blame anything else, it's exclusive to the user, rider![]()
Checked and checked, on the Windows PC photos taken with my tablet show location details but
photos taken with the smartphone does not.
Location is on, also in the settings of the camera app and gps signal is strong and it has all permissions.
I also have a route tracker app in whitch I can take a photo at a stop during a bike ride...photos taken in that app shows location and also works in iGO.
I'm afraid something is wrong with the smartphone.
