    @Boki you probably forgot what we wrote about, or what the problem is ?

    From the internal flash memory, the iGO folder with maps (the so-called "content" folder) works fine.

    However, it does not work from the SD card either through various virtual links or through direct access.

    No matter what I set in SYS.TXT file. SD card access does not work for any iGO Nextgen. I tested about 4-5 different editions and versions of iGO Nextgen.

    I don't know much about iGO because I haven't been working with it for a few years, and I forgot a lot of things, but I still know the basics of SYS.TXT settings... so I tried all kinds of settings in terms of the external folder or the secondary folder for "contents". We have already written to each other before and we agreed that it is an Android 13 problem.

    So why do you write something completely different now ?

    --------------------

    Likewise, banning access to the SD card in new Android systems is stupid. There are still many apps in Android that have full access to SD cards. For example, the application I use to run an FTP server via WiFi on an Android 13 smartphone (there is FTP access for the SD card and also for the internal flash memory). I don't use a USB cable to access data at all. The problem with the iGO Nextgen application, which cannot work with the Android system. Therefore, the problem is not the Android system, but the application that requires reprogramming or rebuilding in the new SDK. It's all a question of the developers of the iGO application for Android.

    It's true that Android, that is, Google, invents a lot of things for security, and it's not good. But then Android itself is not faulty. The defective iGO app is that it cannot read data from the SD card - in the case of old iGO versions. We need some machar to take the latest iGO and modify it for the needs of ordinary mortals .

    Rather, I think that the whole problem with the non-functionality of applications lies in the imposition of compatibility between devices. One application, for millions of types of smartphones and many versions of Android, will simply be an endless problem.

    I myself, as I wrote before, am tired of working and testing which version will run with maps on the SD card. That's why I'm sticking with the old solution for now... ie. that everything runs on internal flash memory. In my case, iGO even runs with two folders - 1. main folder "iGO_World" and 2. additional folder "iGO_secondary" my own (intended for maps).

    9016xxx is the name of sd card (Samsung device) with TotalCommander

    On the sd card a folder "addons" , inside a folder "content" with maps, poi, building, dem

    @lameriq
    You still misses the point

    As for Android, as I mentioned, people complain that many official older applications that they paid for do not work. It has nothing to do with iGO. Can't even start the installation from the Play Store
    Now you could stop trolling and carefully read each of my answers in both threads

    And like any software developer, he won't admit his mistakes and won't even bother to read the instructions
