2 din eincar head 7" screen and igo update software not working

hi i am a newbie here and not sure how to answer some of the question since android system is new to me (i am a mac based person)

- What is Device that you have problem with? 2 din eincar head 7" screen
- What is device screen resolution / not sure what it comes stock with
/ what is application (software) resolution in portrait and landscape mode (for Android)? landscape
- Whether the device is rooted or not (for Android based devices)? "i don't know if someone tells me how i sure i can find out"
- Which version of Android (Or WinCE) ? Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Which version of the navigation software, exactly? 6
- Where the navigation software is (internal / external memory)? internal
- Which edition of maps and extras? igo_p719wdv2 i think that is what it is
- Whether the use of the skin (which)?? none that i know of i did not ad any
- something about a specific addition that you may use; here is a link to the unit that i bought [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

- and, finaly, detailed description of a problem.
i am trying to up date igo. eincar sent me a link to the file for me to download (which i did a couple of times on different computers that are PC based) they sent me 2 different directions which i have tried 2 or 3 times each but still not working. i have deleted the igo that was on the head unit as per there directions, now i have nothing

one of the install say i am missing igo_pal
the other install just loads and either gives me a black screen or crashes

i can up load the file they sent me if need be it is 3.6 gigs tho

any help would be great since eincar does not seem to be great in helping me with this problem.

Not device's software NAVIGATION software. What version exactly. For example 9.18.....

Clean all content so far used from iGO.
Then try with package from this topic

put it on card.
See if it works. If OK, then we can continue to try to make workable NG.

In principle, the vast majority of these devices are designed to read software from the card.
Now, whether iGO Nextgen will work by using the standard package posted on this forum, or you will have to use a modified version to install from an SD card, we can't know
First, try to use standard software package, full from SD. If not, then the more complicated part goes. But, one by one...

the package worked! does not seem to have maps but this is farther then i got with the software eincar gave me, it is a great start so far!
i think this is the version eincar gave me igo_p719wdv2 , i have not got it to work tho.
the total package the gave me is 3.5 gigs so i assume all the maps are there, not sure if i am saying this right, (but i guess) how do i get igo_9.6.29.329069_android_car to see the maps they sent me?

if i have to run it on a sd card that would be ok with me

thanks u, it works, but has quit a couple of times and is there a way for me to get it to speak the street names? is it possible to use the maps that eincar has sent me?

Maps are always the same - for igo/Primo/NextGen, and for WinCE, Android, iOS, PC... ALWAYS

Users are always a problem. That is, their ignorance
Read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], pay good attention to the instructions about the content under spoiler.
Although the topic applies to WinCE devices, these instructions are general.

As for pronunciation - you need an adequate language and voice file, appropriate software adjustment, and in certain conditions - skin.
But first learn to walk, then run. All material and necessary knowledge are presented on the Forum.

Ok i read the post but it does not tell me y it is crashing, i did the install according to your directions and deleted all old files before starting.
if u have any insight on how to fix the problem of it crashing that would be great.

on another note, did u call me ignorant? if so that is very rude, and if i knew something someone did not, i would certainly not call them names, like calling them ignorant.
and i did say i was a newbie in the beginning.

It is not my intention to insult in any way. Ignorance is normal (you noticed smiley?).

I wanted to say that you have to "mesure" the content well.
You have to delete the unnecessary
- license, speedcams, duplicate files...
You must have
- latest globalcfg
- adequate lang and voice (remove redundant)
...etc
In addition, content errors are possible.
For beginning it is recommended always starts with one map. Then add more files, successively.
You must also delete the previous save folder and leftover "tails", if any.

i loaded one map (north America) i will look to see if there is any duplicate file today.

- license, speedcams, duplicate files...---- i could not find duplicated files, i delated speed cams from country's i will not visit, "licenses" i am not sure about this do i delete the hole folder ?

You must have

it is still crashing a lot, even after i delated some of the stuff u said to.

is it crashing because software is on the sd card, should i move it over the head unit?

You make one big mistake
iGO folder always goes in root of sd card (not igo_9.6.../iGO)

Delete save folder, delete device.nng file, all of them..
Start over - uninstall, move to proper place, install again
Try again
