Just like any other torrent, you don't have to download all the content, you can only have one or two files.

Btw, mentioned several times - yes, you can use old building files, old POI files, spc files, even from different provider.
But - you can not use old fjw files (sorry Spider, your info is wrong). Must be the same edition as map, directly interdependent.

With new maps I've used Q1.2018 Buildings and fjw, that I had available,with corresponding .lyc, and all work. Simply for fjw there is a notification (not red) "coverage may be incomplete",and this is obvious, because the map may have new places.
