Thank you. I read the basic tutorial. I was able to get everything working on a Galaxy S7 without any problem. I don't know why the ux directory didn't copy but it's there now. The content folder has the proper lang files. I think that this is an issue with the device itself. It's a rooted Honda Civic dash unit, and apparently it has some hangups, which is why I was trying to see if there was some logging or something I could turn to see where the point of failure was in the startup process.
