Posted the question in the right section NOW THAT I KNOW.

I don't live on this forum like some so don't know where all the particular sections are.
It is hard enough to navigate this forums pages with the numerous, overlapping pop up adds on all the pages.

As for the original question, it relates to the RED LIGHT CAMERAS at traffic lights which are announced by BEEPS, not audio files relating to SPEEDCAMS or such - these are two different things.

I don't know if or where the settings for RED LIGHT CAMERAS exist and hence the original question about SYS.TXT

I have not used this forum much but do appreciate the answers that knowledgeable members can provide.

Not all of us are IGO guru's and just simply seek advice and in turn gain knowledge, hopefully without unnecessary aggression.

Seems like being in the correct area now won't prevent me from having this post deleted rather than answered by others.

The description of each speedcam category states what it is.

in iGO settings there are also categories. It is easy to link warnings of different types.

If you're on a PC like me, use a AdBlock extension to your Browser "even on your phone".
It's not hard to be sort of tech-savvy.
I don't know how old you are, but I'm 71 and this is second nature for me as have been with computing since 1975, I taught my Sons all I know, and now they know more than me almost.

M8 If you have problems, just ask. The Mods here do a great job and I have no problems with what they do, they know the products very well.
I came looking for maps of Australia, only to find I had purchased the latest and still have the latest. So here I am doing IT on site.
If you are not familiar with forums then it maybe hard to use the search feature, this is nothing like FB which is total crap.
I have been in Computing loooong before Social Media was formed and even your first home PC "that cost an arm and a leg"

Since it is not explained in detail in previous posts, or the linked discussions, I think this might answer your question. You can add something like the following the following to your sys.txt

[speedcam_category:2]
warn_distances="0:70,40:100,90:300"

[speedcam_category:4]
warn_distances="0:70,40:100,90:300"

[speedcam_category:11]
warn_distances="0:70,40:100,90:300"

As @Andrey Form showed in his post there are 3 possible speedcam types which can be used for red lights so its best to cover them all.

The meaning of the numbers is as follows:
The first number (before the colon) is the minimum actual driving speed at which the warning distance will apply. The second number (after the colon) is the distance from the camera, in metres, at which the warning will be triggered.
In my example I have set three different warning distances dependent on speed, so the faster you are travelling the more warning you will get. You can add, amend or remove speed:distance combinations as you see fit but you must always retain the syntax of numbers and punctuation marks, including keeping the entire string within quotation marks.
