    SKIN Screen Resolution

    Recently updated the navigation APK to iGO world and updated maps / content for Australia. When the navigation starts it shows an error "User interface resolution (1024x600) is not supported or compatible skin cannot be found". I have previously had no issues with updates.
    The skin folder is present in the content folder and the sys.txt file shows the resolution as 1024x600 rather than xv=auto. Any help to correct this will be very much appreciated.

    If I remember correctly, you used Primo. You can't update just the apk with the NextGen edition. The entire folder is changed, the skin too.
    In other words, you are installing completely new software.

    Thank you Boki_Srb. It was quite a while since I used iGO Primo. I have been using iGO Myway and the new installation is iGO world
    9.18.27.736653.I understand that this APK incorporates all screen sizes.

    Not the apk, actually, the apk is only part of the story. Data.zip and skin.zip are responsible.

    In short, you can't mix apples and oranges.

    Although they come from the same publisher, although they look very similar and have the same function, ordinary Primo and Primo NextGen are two essentially different software. Although the plugins and addons have the same name, they are not interchangeable.

    Thank you very much Boki-Srb for the extremely detailed information which you have gathered to pass on to me. I have read all of it, but will need to revisit the information several times to assemble a suitable package (lots of homework to do!!).
