How do you close the program? By exiting or by shutting down (power off) the device?

I close the program properly and then the device. When I am in travel, I only close the device without closing the software and when I open the device, the software is always running so I can continue to select an other destination and continue with the program.
The problem only appear when I close the software, when he write the file "history.sav"
