    I don't think, I know
    Primo see (recognize and use) only fjv files, not fjw

    Thanks for so many replies.
    It's not that I need whole Europe but I have to delete files related.
    A full update will also load the EU files. Sure I can delete some countries.
    But to find the proper updates is not so easy. I have found numerous updates with most of them some sort of trouble like displaced camera's.
    For instance Poi plaza files on Here or Tomtom.
    You can't mix up different maps. More then once I have been mislead by incompatible information. Or the device OS crashed.
    As long as the device leads me correct it's OK to me. I'm not that demanding. But simple updating from an paid website isn't always the easy solution since it's an unknown device.
    I don't have so much experience with navigation devices so it's quite confusing with all of these extensions.
    I have to read the postings above again and see if I get that straight.

    ---------------------------poi\.poi

    kmlpoi="\\Storage Card\iGO_content\content\userdata\poi"

    You need to identify under which name a card is seen by the SO, using CECmd.
    On mine device is Storage Card.
    Thanks

    So the actual sys.txt should contain where the program will find it's Map's or the entire Content map?
    I have to add as I understand some rules in the sys.txt in the IGO program map of the device itself.
    It's a bit silly to have two versions of IGO, that's why I asked. It takes an unnecessary huge amount of memory if maps included.

    Default WinCE content on SD card

    Texas, he is using WinCE Primo

    The characteristics of each version of forum's editions of WinCE iGO8 and Primo is that if in the folders section is not emphasized, they automatically pull content from the card if there is folder addons/content

    It is absolutely unnecessary complication of any other kind of path.

    Only, this is not the case with some highly customized devices - branded, like Zenec, od Blaupunkt, or...
    With every others - a huge bunch of Chinese clones, BlueBerry, Bear, GoClever, Magneo, Navon, Prestigio, Wayteq, Kelec, Samtec, Vivax, X-Drive, etc, etc...this way works!

    So simple
    - on SD card make folder addons
    - in folder addons put folder content

    I tried the given information in this thread but it won't work.
    IGO can't find the folders, that is to say the maps.
    My SD card has perhaps another adres?

    [folders]
    content="\SDMMC\Content"
    However inside that SDMMC card you'll find a folder OZ.
    So it should read something like
    [folders]
    has_secondary_root=1
    secondary_root= "OZ"

    If however I change the original map on the device with an XMAP or XNetherlands just to force IGO to look into the SD card, it will fail and can't find any maps.

    Tried also this, but still no result.
    [folders]
    maps="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\map"
    buildings="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\building"
    dem="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\dem"
    maps="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\map"
    poi="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\poi"
    kmlpoi="\\SDMMC\OZ\content\userdata\poi"

    Think the IGO only looked into it's own directory

    Not OZ
    How do you get idea to use that name???
    Delete section FOLDERS in sys
    In root of SD card only Addons, in it subfolder content. In content maps, poi, etc...
    Nothing else.
    What Primo are you using? Exact version

    I only pointed to the real existing folders on the SD card in an attempt to solve the problem.
    What do you mean with addons?
    There aren't any, or there is no map or folder with that name.
    There is only:

    Device.nng
    gpsnvm.bin
    ALTE.SAVE
    OZ

    OZ contains Igo and all of it's subfolders, maps and contents, because I copied the entire IGO over to the SD card.

    I also found something like this on the internet:
    [folders]
    app="%SDCARD%/iGO8" ; change this if applicable
    sdcardpath="\Storage Card"
    exe=""
    data="\Storage Card\igo" ;custom,save
    content="\Storage Card\igo\CONTENT"
    textures="custom"
    models="custom"
    secondary_root="IPAQ\NAV"

    I.m using IGO Primo Gjak v 07
    9.6.2.209584

    Oh, ... no comment
    You named this topic "IGO Primo and maps on SD card". If you wanted both of them then should be "iGO Primo and maps, on SD card". Or only iGO on SD card.
    In first post you asked

    Story confirmed in post #4.

    Content...it is subfolder in iGO, which is exactly what its name says - content.
    All answers were intended for this. You got precise instructions. Very precise.
    And @DM43 & @Janch told you

    And me in post after that.
    Now, you tells that you put whole iGO in SD card???

    Ok.
    Then, again, delete all from [FOLDERS] section in sys. All.
    iGO folder must be in root of SD, named iGO, or MobileNavigator. Or even OZ. Just keep original iGO structure.
    Choose from your device setup right Navigation Path (which points to the exact position of the main exe file on the card). Like you already did.
    That's it. End of story.

    The whole confusion is because you do not know the terminology and obviously you do not listen to others. Then why are you asking?
    And you didn't pay attention of iGO structure, and I think you did not follow the directions from post #5.
    iGO can be loaded with all content in it (from device's memory or from SD card), or from internal memory and partial content from SD card. With exact names and procedure. No other way.

    P.S. Use a much more recent Primo. It's recommended so called Honda Civic reborn. For resolution 800x480.
    But, if you still want use GJAK skin, then you'll need to find version for Primo 2.4, if there is any.
    Or, use Primo 2.0, so called KIA version and keep your current setup.
    Now, start reading.

    I'm just trying to cope with it.
    The question was indeed to load maps on the SD card and that still stands.
    Because It didn't work I copied IGO also to the SD card.
    The point is how can I direct IGO to look elsewhere than it's directory in the device itself?
    Now I have two times IGO with maps.
    Some mistakes where suggested like how to adress the SD.root.
    For instance.
    As someone correctly posted it should read:
    [folders]
    content="\SDMMC\Content"
    And yes there is an OZ folder on the device whether you believe it or not.

    And Boki Srb I don't like your attitude in this, although I appreciate some hints.
    I try to follow, but it's not that easy. So it's not that I won't listen to others as you concluded.
    I've been a computerengineer, but that doesn't make me an expert on GPS devices, especially not on it's software.
    There are more commands and rules IGO won't follow if it isn't done exactly right.

    The possibilities of SYS.txt alone could be a very long list.
