And advice: For your device, use Primo 2.0, ver. 9.6.5.306142
Without skins, or only with some very light, truck dedicated if you really need it
how to delete a message here?

This is the version, that I have:
M3GPSi3
9.6.5.245577
Jul 6 2012
I think, it should be OK, it is the truck version but no need for that feature.
Now, I managed to copy the backup of the Primo to my P360 and it's working again. I'm trying to install the Calibrate fix again. What I don't understand is that currently there is no UX folder in my Primo folders, I guess I will create one.
Well, I installed calibrate fix, but I don't see anything popping up, so how can I test or see if it's installed properly and works at start up?

There is no special version for Trucks @ iGO. That is quite normal, standard version, but with adjusted sys.txt, and/or some truck dedicated skin, and/or modded data.zip or added branding, and with truck related content (extra Truck POI's, FTR files).
But, not every iGO version is suitable for every device. Some versions behave better with one type of device, some with other...etc. So, if your device is fully functional, then you stay just to try more of them.
Good thing with Primo same version (2.0 in your case), is that you can change only main exe and everything will work OK. You can also replace data.zip with that goes along with that version.
However, the problem that appeared to you, looks to me more like a problem with the device itself.
You've only got to try all the possibilities.

I see. Thank you for the info on the truck mods. The truth is that a few years ago I just wanted to update the maps of my Igo8 My way but the company no longer made maps available for this PDA, and I had to search the net for maps and at that time all I could found was this truck version complete with maps, so I switched from 8 My Way to 9 Primo that day.
Based on your words I guess folks who have the know-how massage this software any way they want to including the file data.zip. Yesterday I found just the exe file (9.6.13 instead of my 9.6.5) on this board, downloaded it but it didn't work, I guess because without the zip file - as you mentioned -, it shouldn't.
I also found out yesterday, that you can add com port and baud rate info to the SYS.txt, I did (com port 2 and 57600) and it seems to me, that it picked up the GPS signals faster.
I also just found out that this PDA has TMC port and I've been using it without TMC since 2010!!!!! %$!%^&%!... if you know what I mean. So, I just checked Ali and found that I could get a suitable antenna for TMC for a few bucks:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I was so pissed when I found this out 10 minutes ago.
So, if I want to make my P360 faster I should delete all files from the map and stuff and from the zip file just keeping the 320x240 resolution stuff and the countries that I need?
Do I need the base map for anything?
Is there any good website that can give the knowledge of this stuff on the "Phd level" in no time? I'd really hate to waste anyone's time to answer probably trivial (for them) question if they're aready written and available somewhere.
And last thing, by any chance do you know where I could get a Primo version for this P360 that has and enable the most control, setting capabilties? For e.g. on my current Primo version or skin(?) I cannot see the GPS satellite connections when it is already connected, I do remember, that I could see this basic info any time in Igo8 My Way.

9.6.13.xxx are 2.4 versions. Not recommended for devices with 64MB ram and slower processors.
If you want to use 2.4 ver, then you need data.zip for 2.4 ver.
TMC connector is standard, you can use any TMC antenna you want.
Yes, when you write proper values in sys, e.g. gps port & baud rate, it catch signal much faster. Same story for tmc.
Yes, if you want much faster behavior, keep just needed content. Basemap is not a problem, on the contrary. DEM file is not a problem, that one ~ 90MB. Don't put those ~270MB large. If you don't need ftr, fsp, hnr, etc files - don't use them. FBL and POI are absolutely enough for guidance. Don't use extra schemes, skins, etc...
Knowledge is collected visiting sites like GPSP and reading, reading a lotNo one has made a collection of knowledge and experience, nor is it possible.
I give you recommendation for Primo for your device.
Some special functions are possible only with the exact skins. And as far as I could see, no WinCE iGO Primo shows satellite when signal is fixed, I do not think there is a need for, but it is my opinion. Maybe some skin allow that.
Good luck.
