Thread: iGO Primo vs Nextgen.

NextGen is not fully usable since primo is better

From my point of view Primo is better so far than the igo nextgen. I had loaded tomtom 2015.03 maps. The 3d buildings can be seen only for capitals or big cities; ex: Sofia, Istambul and Bucharest nothing else(maps: Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania). On the Primo v.2.01 (android) the building are present even in a small villages. The nextgen loose the satellites time to time without any reason.

I have just voted for Primo.

The only thing in my wishlist for both apps is to be recognized as navigation/geo app by android system, or in the other word, can be an option to run when click on address in txt, webpage, or contacts.

Currently, can not find any version of app satisfies this requirement.

Then I take one step back, can access the address in contacts from app.
Primo can access address in contacts from app, while no version of nextgen can.
So I voted for Primo.

I have installed both app on my Nexus 6 and let them share maps/poi/... .
I like the map display by NextGen better.

I try both and i think PRIMO is BETTER.
NexGen need more memory, powerful procesor and is so slow

I have been using Igo primo since 2012. I am very pleased. He hasn't left me stranded yet. I installed Nextgen two days ago. I didn't like the screenshot and address search. Maybe I couldn't do it. However, my opinion is Igo primo

For the evolution I vote for Nextgen. I am sure all issues will be overcome while the software matures. I personally have problems too with my other phone (Mate 7) on which sometimes nextgen hangs but I'm sure it is some configuration issue.

Nextgen needs a time.... and you know it. Yes, Nextgen its good, but to be good as Primo is - we need some more wait.

ok I get it.. but I can use google maps for free if I need all of that and want my gps coordinates sent to a 3rd party

so long story short the UI/engine is better on nextgen. A properly cracked version for content and maybe it will be my new igo8
