Vocalizer is an embedded TTS engine that provides expressive and natural sounding voices in over 50 languages.

Vocalizer enriches the user experience for a variety of applications on your device such as GPS navigation, E-Book reading and assistive software.

- Recent Google apps updates force using their own voices. GPS apps (maps) or the AI assistant, ignore text-to-speech settings, only allowing Google TTS. This decision from Google has been strongly discouraged by the Android community but as for now, we cannot ensure compatibility for this apps. As an alternative, you can use Vocalizer voices on other GPS apps like "Navigator" or "Sygic", that are compatible with Google Speech APIs.

Thanks for sharing.

I tried it and in new Avic 9.35 creates a problem when starting. The first time after reboot and some other times it takes too long to enter the app. Strange because Avic has it's own tts engine and doesn't use the tts engine of the phone,.

But I had this problem in 2 different phones (Xiaomi 13T and Samsung S24 Ultra)

I installed the APK Vocalizer, but when I wanted to install Thomas' voice, I had a message to tell myself that I had to pay because Vocalizer was no longer up to date.
Is the APK really patched?
I am on Android 15

I did not find on the forum a vocalizer ex compatible with Android15.

It is compatible
But, the problem is if the support for 32bit applications is excluded from the system, and generally restrictions at certain UIs

In that case, you have to turn to alternatives
