@Metallion: if you looked closely, @Titanic has only edited a single voice file in German for a long time; the Katrin V12 for Nextgen, last updated on 2020-01-01.
Users @Userninenin and @BIRBANTE also clearly explained that navigation display messages and instructions are implemented in (e.g. DE) Voice.
These tones - male or female, high or low - are controlled by the system's TTS engine.
So your question should be: are there other statements (votes) for my TTS engine or is there generally another TTS engine with different votes
