Windows Windows 10 app and map (PC system/notebook)

    Dear All,

I've tried to search in the forum but found nothing regarding gps app & map for windows 10 OS (PC/NB).

Searching in the web, seems there is Mapfactor with Openstreetmap maps.
    Has someone already tried it?
    how is it?
    how does it works?
Are "open source" maps reliable ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])?

Does anyone knows if there are other apps available out there, possibly free?
(seems there was HERE app but not anymore ... or am I wrong?)

Started this discussion, because was thinking to put in a car a 2din Windows 10 system.
Or better to install a 2din Android os instead?

Thanks for your patience and attention.

    Regards

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

    I know seems silly.

found a 2din case that can fit a mini-itx inside.
Actually, now there are pc that are smaller than mini-tix (like NUC or others).
A possibility is to fit all in a 2din (maybe will be too hot), other option is to just place a screen on the dashboard and place the main system under dashboard or under front seat (just need to wire the video and usb cable).

    ^_^

Yes, NUC is one of the options. There are also tablets with Win10, or with Win and Android (Dual system).
But, for multimedia navi, there is no purpose to put it in car, especially because there are no adequate quality navigation programs.
Use dedicated devices, genuine or aftermarket.

    P.S.
Generally, it's not a bad idea if you want to make something interesting. and if you spend a lot of time in the vehicle. You could make the entire multimedia center
But, do it mainly for navigation - waste of time.

Why not use Google maps on a Web browser?
