Thread: what is best gps software for android 6

I had used some Android GPS apps while traveling abroad without data plan active on my phone. Google Maps does not recalculate route if you miss a turn in offline mode, I had a hard time due to that once. Here We Go, Tom Tom Go and Sygic work well offline and if data is available you get traffic info. All three receive constant map updates, but none is perfect. Here We Go maps are accurate but it does not have much features like lane assistance or junction view.

Been using Sygic for years and I never had any significant problems. It’s true you have to update the maps once in while (once a year maybe) but the update and installation is very easy with the downloader. Even if google maps is reliable with a data plan I always have an offline app for just in case…
