How many maps do you have on your GPS?
How many maps do you have on your GPS's?
I have over 8 GB of map 'img' on my 16 Gig card in the Etrex 20! Unbelievable I know but it works fine despite the tile limit! There is a trick...
So what's your map obsession limit?

On my Sygic i mount two maps; the main is NAVTEQ which guaranteed the best drive assistance on Center and North Italy, TeleAtlas maps if I can go to South zone of Italy.

Would it be possible if we could give a file size of the maps we use ????
Ie: topo of Oz = 707,654KB
Geo Map of WA = 758MB
Tenement maps vary in size and are only on SD for period of trip planned as the info changes weekly.
These tenements are converted from PDF @ 250:1 scale to a fully calibrated map @ the best detail I need for what I do, and are cal is within 4mtr accuracy.Can't see a link/attachment? Don't post asking why. Just 'Like' the post & hit F5:

Only the map, ~4 GB and the topo ~200 MB
With all the extras, buildings, POI, etc is >5 GB .
Oh and it's separated in files by country so technicly I have ~40 maps.
I also have like 5 GB on my smartphone using Sygic, just in case the gps goes dark.Last edited by LostInEurope; 15th December 2015 at 04:59 PM.
