Colt 1911 is not much different mechanically to the Browning Hipower i used in the Aust Army, .45 vs 9mm chambering is the big difference. Hard to believe that the 1911 [called that because that's the year when it was first released] has been around basically unchanged for well over 100 years. Wot a weapon!
