    I have the same Garmin nuvi 660 unit since 2007-2008. I've purchased the top unit at the moment... and still has features that several new GPS doesn't such as eBook reader, FM Transmitter...
    Still working great after about 7 years, I don't consider it out-of-date (as I said, my unit has features that some new ones doesn't) and I keep updating maps and radars twice a month.
    Very reliable, works great.
    using Garmin nüvi 660
