    Hi everyone!

I’m joining this community from Spain with a clear goal: I love giving a second life to older GPS units and infotainment systems. I think these devices still have plenty of potential if you know how to tweak them!

    Currently, I’m working on:

A Volkswagen Golf with an Erisin (WinCE 6.0) head unit. I’m currently updating it to 2024 maps and customizing it with WolfNCU.

A Peugeot with the classic RT4 (Magneti Marelli) system. It's a challenge, but I'm looking to keep it updated and functional.

Apart from these, I just use a standard iPhone for daily tasks, but my real passion is 'under the hood' of these dedicated car systems.

I'm here to learn from the experts, find some hard-to-reach files, and hopefully contribute back once I get everything running smoothly.

Thanks for all the great resources hosted here!

    Previously I had a Garmin Nuvi 205 (3,5" I think...).
    Now, I have a Garmin Nuvi 50 (5").
    Recently I got a Garmin 2797 (7").
    Still looking for Brazilian maps...
And for sports, a Motorola Moto ACTV wrist watch, and also a Garmin Forerunner wrist watch.
    Smartphone Nexus 5.

Yes you make a good point there.
I guess some folks wouldn't know devices can be updated, some I've spoken to had no idea it could be done.
They seemed rather pleased when advised they could be & how to go about it.

I run more than one at the same time because I haven't yet found (without literally spending a fortune) a nav program that will do everything I want in the one program.
So I get around that buy running a couple that combined give me all the info I require.
Now I have them & have them set up how I want I probably won't buy anymore until the hardware gives out on them.
Seeing as they're all CE devices except the GPS-60 updates have probably stopped or soon will if they haven't already.
So long as I can do what I need to with them I'll keep using them until something I think is better comes along at a reasonable price.
