Thread: How to unbrick a nüvi - step by step guide

The GPS didn't show up in Device Manager--I did confirm that before proceeding. I also didn't change the RGN name--just dragged and dropped it onto Updater.exe. So that gives me some reassurance that the chip was already damaged. My dad works at a "thrift store" and asked me to try to get this unit working, so whoever donated it must have already been having problems.
