Thread: How to unbrick a nüvi - step by step guide

Read with care Updater.exe thread.
You must drag the rgn in Updater and select Usb before pressing and holding with your finger on display.
You have to put the rgn and Updater.exe in the same directory.... but read the thread.

I have a similar problem with my Nuvi 1390LMT. Shortly after updating the software with Garmin Express, it stops working and stuck at the initial Logo screen. I downloaded the gcd file and ran Garmincure3. Then drag the output file (the rgn file) to the same folder as the updater.exe. After clicking on the updater.exe by the output file box in cure3 window, I selected usb device and, while finger on the upper left corner of the screen, then connect my 1390lmt to the PC. It correctly recognize the the device as 13xx. I then click on the OK in updater window. It started initializing but right away came back with error message saying "No updates available for your product". I tried numerous time and exact same result. What else can I tried? Here is screen capture of the updater error.
