I'm following your posts with great interest. I also want to change the splash screen on my nuvi 3790. I've tried to extract a logo.bin from an alternative fw with your rgn tool, but i did not succeed.

Since megaupload is no longer with us, maybe you want to upload the original nuvi 37xx logo.bin to another sharing site?
