Thread: Differences between "CNEU NT" and "CNEU NTU

On main screen ['Where To'/'View Map'], hold battery symbol for several seconds to enter hidden menu. Press 'Next'/lower RH corner of screen several times to find screen 'Version Information', press Start Test > More, then look at number beside 'Boot BLK' in top row. You will have B2077-00, not B1582-00. Or look at the GarminDevice.xml file in your 2598's Garmin folder. Open it and look for <PartNumber>006-Bxxxx-00</PartNumber> near the start of the file. Yours will show 2077.

It unlocks NT (not NTU) IMGs in 2014 devices, but not working with all new devices 2xx9 and probably in most of newer devices firmware,
If you have 2xx7 (8) (PartNumber> 006-B1582-00), works
If you have 2xx7 (8) (PartNumber> 006-B2077-00), doesn't work.

As said by catymag, nothing to do to help with unlocking presently, sorry. For your NA unit to use EU mapping you must either purchase the map from Garmin or you can use free mapping such as [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], also latest is available here:
