Well, i suppose there's a typo there, and either you've got a nuvi 40 or a nuvi 1400 of some sort. If you've got a Fishfinder 140 you're out of luck though.
The CX's either small or full together with the *.unl file, go in a folder named Map, either in the root of the unit or preferably in the sd card. ie, Path is x:\Map. The CX image and it's unlock file must have same name, just different ext. eg, cxna_2012.30.img and cxna_2012.30.unl.
