How to install ,unlock and in which devices will CityXplorer Maps work.

As there is a bit of confusion about CityXplorers maps usage , I try to explain this matter more clearly-

CityXplorer maps are special maps that contain CityNavigators map parts (important cities ones) + EPM features.
What is EPM? EPM means Ehanced Pedestrian Mode.
Enhanced pedestrian navigation helps you navigate the city's public transit. Get directions for where to walk, where to catch the bus, subway, tram, or other transportation (where available). Also learn how long it will take to get there. In some cities, data is even available for transit schedules, such as subway or bus times and routes.
So in CXs you'll have pedestrian features and Public Transports.

Can other devices support a CX map?

Yes but it will show as a normal City Navigator map part, showing just the Map and POIs, no EPM-

How to unlock an original CX map ? (37xx series and newer excluded)

You must create the .unl file with PID 2 and the FID of the related City Navigator-
Enable additional fields in Jetmouse keygen and insert PID 2 and the right FID then press the lower 'Generate' button-
You must then save the generated code in Notepad as <same_file_name_as_image>.unl. Simply open Notepad and then copy/paste the JM code without spaces or carriage returns into it. Select File>Save As, then from the dropdown "Save as type" select "All Files (*.*)" ensuring that you don't have a double extension i.e. ".txt.unl" won't work-
Copy the anyname.img (eg. Paris.img) and anyname.unl (eg. Paris.unl) in "Map" folder in your sd-

Why 37xx and newer excluded ?

Coz 37xx/34xx series and newer need a special map with a changed FID : FID 800.
If you download a locked CX on forum and you try to unlock it ,with the above explained method (PID 2 and FID xxxx) EPM wont work.
You must download the special maps tweaked with FID 800, you can find them in Maps INDEX, CityXplorers post-

To unlock them create an .unl file with JM kg and FID 800- The PID needed are 1, 0, 0 (the default ones). The names of .img and .unl should be the same, different extensions.

These FID 800 CXs will work on all CXs compatible devices too

NOTE: unlockers like FIU or gimgunlock dont unlock EPM, so useless for cityXplorer maps

If the map is correctly unlocked , starting ,your nuvi will ask if you want to enable CX features and you'll have this in your nuvi transportation mode menu
