For my 3790 ::
Clear Non Vol & Hard Reset can make my 3790 is better for currently position fixation.
Because it will delete all my FAV Pois & Because my 3790 can be in poor performance after the long time usage , so I create the .gpi file instead FAV Pois.

So I can do Hard reset anytime I want.
But however., I did not hard reset my 3790 for my last trip in Europe for all 13 days ., it worked very well.

So now I love my 3790 so much !
