i used boot 5.40 and fw_all sgmy 2.90 and fw1_resource sgmy 2.90. just do not know why the error messages on my unit after that. must I need the boot 5.50? anywhere i can find them?
Reset is for clear data from unit if something go wrong with flash.
With reflash maybe repair nuvi FW.
How you flash your unit to SG/MY?
Wher you download SG/My software?

No,FW 5.50 not availible on net.
How do you name.rgn (097201000550.rgn) or (097201000540.rgn)?
Dou you change SW version in rgn_tool?
097201000540.rgn, changed to 540 and also 550, both didn't work.
Download EU FW 5.40 of nuvi.
With rgn_tool rename it to 097201000540.rgn and flash.
@ aekhong
What's a SgMy menu file?
I did rename the text folder and it solves the problem. Just need to find the right text files and replace them. Thanks aekhong! Thanks lolypop000 too!
You guys have been very helpful!
IF my memory serves me correctly, nuvi 1460ś original firm already supports Lane assists and JCV, so what is the purpose of installing this hacked firmware into nuvi 14xx ?

Nuvi 1410 dont have all function by default.
I have a nuvi 1300 (US), and have used the logo.bin in this thread to enable the JCV, LA which is great, however it would be nice to have Routes. I haven't tried to cross flash international firmwares like JPN 1360. In this thread:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
the guy seems to have successfully flashed his 1300 with CHN 1495 prior to firmware 5.70 (but was using boot.bin from his 1300 - although the latest firmware 5.70 seemed to have caused some problems). Anyone have any comments? I was under the assumption that you shouldn't cross flash a firmware not "meant" for your series, like you shouldn't put the 1450 firmware on the 1300 (even if you mod the boot.bin) but it was OK to use the international firmware for your model if you keep the boot.bin the same
