Hi,
I transferred .jnx BirdsEye located in Basecamp collection from the hard disk C:/ of my computer to an external hard disk connected in USB, by using the method of the symbolic links (see previous post): the procedure was well achieved, and when I opened Basecamp, .jnx were displayed.
Then I did the following experiment :
I disconnected the external hard disk of my computer: it was obvious that BirdsEye would not be displayed anymore in Basecamp, but problem is somewhere else.
During the opening of Basecamp, external hard disk disconnected, I got the following error message:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
This message sounded logical, but he proposed two alternatives:
- either to cancel, in which case Basecamp closed. I reconnected then external hard disk, and BirdsEye reappeared when I opened again Basecamp.
- or to correct, in which case Basecamp opened without displaying BirdsEye.
Up to there, everything seems logical, but the continuation is much less : if I close Basecamp, reconnect external hard disk, and open again Basecamp, then BirdsEye are not displayed anymore !
It looks as if "correction" prevents display of the images BirdsEye in Basecamp ; and the worst is to come : if I delete symbolic link, and move back JnxFiles folder from external disk to its original location in C, BirdEyes do not not reappear !
Is there an explanation for this strange phenomenon ? Is there an issue ? Or if I don't want to loose my BirdsEye images, will I have to leave external disk connected permanently on my computer when I open Basecamp ?
