It seems that the Chinese Firmware doesn't have the icon form keying the waypoint. Maybe I couldn't find it. In SG have this function.

Maybe you could write down the steps you made, then we can know where is the problem.
Converting to SG/MAL FW 2.50 seems not so easy anymore. 2.30 is still possible

Don't say no one Maybe not now, but I bet someone will find a solution.
Remember, in the beginning there it was not possible to flash back to US Unit, until PouchX found a way.
    Happy New Year my friends

    Hi tom1807,
    Happy new year !
    You are right.
The problem will meet a solution someday., just wait for a right man stand at the right position in the right time.

    Happy New Year!

    Thx for info and clues.

    @aekhong: my unit is 3790US HWID = 110
No success at all with changing to Sg/My 2.20 nor Sg/My 2.50
I was using RGN_Tool and turboccc instruction + some of my own trial/variations with HWID and SW versions.

According to PouchX's advice I've downgraded to 2.50 US (it was my one and only success ) but again i was unable to change from US to Sg/My.

Unfortunately I have to travel in next few days (Poland -Norway) by car, so i have no time (don't want to brick my Nuvi too) and i will hold up "digging" for now.

Anyway, it will be great test for my 3790

Maybe someone will find solution until I will try again

If you like to try again ::
    - Rename folder Text., zVoice., Keyboards to other name
    -H/R
    -Flash
-if success --> rename folder back to original name
    -H/R again

    ------------------------

How long did you buy your 3790 ?

Old hardware of 3790 can not go to newer version of Sg/My., Taiwan
So., maybe newer hardware of 3790 can not go to older version of Sg/My too.
    ----------------------

    But....just try
and remember to always use US boot.bin so your 3790 will not brick.
