Default Use a standard mini USB cable to power your receiver

A quick fix for missing/broken original Garmin USB cable. It happened to me and the way to fix it is to use a standard USB-lighter power cord as follows:
    1. Plug the power cord in your lighter.
2.Plug the USB end in the Garmin receiver. The receiver comes in USB mode/computer mode. While it shows USB mode/computer mode, unplug either the usb or the lighter end -I usually unplug the lighter end- and you will see the Garmin receiver switching from USB mode/computer mode to receiver mode, starting to load maps. I The moment it switches from USB mode/computer mode to receiver mode plug either the USB or the lighter plug on again and it should boot up and load the receiver. You are good to go now. Repeat the procedure each time you disconnect the power.
